Have any of you wondered who our neighbors are in Sheridan Park, and what they do? What about the available services, facilities, and upcoming events happening in the park?

Well, the website of the Sheridan Science and Technology Park was designed to answer these queries and more (http://www.sheridanpark.ca ). The Sheridan Science and Technology Park was formed in early 1960’s and is currently home to a diverse group of member companies and educational institutions with interests ranging from pharmaceuticals to 3D cinematography, from petrochemicals to satellite telecommunications, from mining and metallurgy to reprography and imaging, and from engineering to electrochemistry.  We also welcomed the Olive Grove School to theSheridanPark community as they represent the educational aspect of the Park residents, and the government agencies that madeSheridanPark their home, including NSERC.

Many of the resident companies have been members of Sheridan Park Association (SPA) since its incorporation in 1965. The association is composed of representatives from the member companies whose goal is to maintain the Park as a world class technical and education-focused community in an attractive campus setting, to foster relationships and technical excellence to return economic and social benefits to its members, and to attract public awareness for the park.  The SPA takes an active role in representing members’ interests within the park and with government, municipal and other external organizations.

Our vision is to continue using the breadth and depth of knowledge within SPA community, to create and maintain environment that fosters innovation, education and promotes science and technology development and commercialization.

The intent of this letter is to encourage all resident organizations in the Park to become members of the association.  If you want to have a voice in Sheridan Park, please do not hesitate to contact our office at 905-823-7091 ext. 424 or e-mail to gail.sweeney@xrcc.xeroxlabs.com to obtain further information.

Sincerely,

Richard Perrier
